Seemed like I was making corrections …all day long today. Sketchbooks are good for this. Doesn’t have to be anything big, this is a small 6 x 8 inch sketchbook. I just make corrections over corrections. The end goal, of course, is to get it right, with the least amount of stress!

Working out a problem on paper, especially if you’re a visual learner, can show you the error of your way pretty quickly. A sketchbook graciously provides you with a private place for uninhibited thinking to find your answers.

I have more than a few notebooks, all for different reasons. Here are some ways you could easily use one:

  • Design a space for a room in your home

  • Plot a garden layout

  • Color charts

  • Sketches

  • Sketchbook Journaling … you know, for documenting the midnight swim on the night of the summer solstice

  • Nature Journals … chart the growth of that cactus!

  • Dream Journal (a favorite)

  • Recipe Journal, great for adding notes!

  • Diary

  • Morning Pages http://juliacameronlive.com/basic-tools/morning-pages/

Sketchbooks are good for all of that!

Would love to hear what you would use a sketchbook for.
